Automne Musical de Nîmes

The Automne Musical de Nîmes is a classical music festival founded in 1980 by Jacques Lévy under the name Octobre Musical, and taken over in 2010 by Marie-Claude Chevalier. Running each year from September to December, it offers around twenty events, including classical concerts, oratorios, jazz, world music and talks, held in various venues around the city such as the Temple de l'Oratoire. Backed by the city of Nîmes and the Gard department, it is one of the city's major autumn cultural events.
