Bachwoche Ansbach

Long established in the Franconian town of Ansbach, this festival is devoted entirely to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, drawing renowned international performers. Over about ten days, concerts unfold in historic halls and churches across town, spanning categories from pure Bach programs to vocal works, modern reinterpretations, keyboard recitals and chamber music. It stands out for its Bach consultation sessions and workshops aimed at children and young people, carrying on a tradition that traces back more than seventy five years to Pommersfelden.
