Carinthischer Sommer

Carinthischer Sommer (Carinthian Summer) is a classical music festival founded in 1969 in Ossiach, Austria, and has since expanded to Villach and other venues across Carinthia. Each summer it presents orchestral concerts, chamber music, recitals and seminars, and is particularly known for its church opera program, which since 1974 has showcased new works of contemporary sacred music. It ranks among Austria's major classical music events.
