Christchurch Big Band Festival

Held over five days in central Christchurch during Labour Weekend, this festival brings together amateur, school and professional big bands from across New Zealand. Running since 2006 with support from the Christchurch Jazz Foundation Trust, it features more than thirty five bands across city venues plus free outdoor performances. It is the only event of its kind in the country, combining swing jazz, workshops and dance nights.
