Copenhagen Opera Festival

Copenhagen Opera Festival has filled the Danish capital's streets, canals and concert halls with opera every summer since 2009, taking the art form out of the traditional theatre. The program combines ambitious international productions with experimental projects, plus concerts and family-friendly events. Since 2021, the Festival Stage at Den Røde Plads in Nørrebro has offered free open-air opera, drawing thousands of visitors each year.
