Dresden Music Festival

The Dresden Music Festival (Dresdner Musikfestspiele) takes place every year in Dresden, Germany, between May and June. Established in 1978, it has become one of Europe's leading classical music festivals, presenting more than sixty concerts at landmark venues across the city, including the Semperoper, the Frauenkirche and the Großer Garten. Under the artistic direction of cellist Jan Vogler, each edition is built around a changing theme that brings together classical repertoire, contemporary music, jazz, world music and dance.
