Overview
About
The Festival Berlioz takes place every summer in La Côte-Saint-André, Isère, the birthplace of composer Hector Berlioz, with concerts also held in La Tronche. Devoted to classical and Romantic-era music, it makes use of heritage venues such as the courtyard of the Château Louis XI and former abbey churches for symphonic concerts, chamber music and free events. Under the artistic direction of Bruno Messina, it brings together major international ensembles, regional amateur choirs and projects that pair Berlioz's works with dance or theatre.
