About
Founded in 1948, the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence is devoted to opera and lyric music, staging open-air performances in the courtyard of the Archevêché, as well as at the Grand Théâtre de Provence and the Théâtre du Jeu de Paume. Each edition presents several new productions, including world premieres, directed by recognized stage directors.
