Overview
About
Founded in 2020 by countertenor Max Emanuel Cencic, this festival is devoted to baroque opera seria and takes place at the Margravial Opera House, a theatre built in 1748 and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Productions are staged in this historic setting rarely used for the repertoire, focusing on seldom performed works by composers such as Handel.
