Festival de Aldeburgh

Founded in 1948 by composer Benjamin Britten, tenor Peter Pears and librettist Eric Crozier, this classical music festival takes place every June in Aldeburgh, on the Suffolk coast, centred on Snape Maltings Concert Hall, a 19th century malthouse converted into a concert venue. The programme combines classical repertoire with contemporary works, including numerous commissions and world premieres.
