Festival de Música Antiga de Úbeda e Baeza

Founded in 1997, this early music festival takes place in the Andalusian towns of Úbeda and Baeza, both UNESCO World Heritage sites known for their Renaissance architecture. Each edition explores its own theme drawn from baroque devotional music, Italian madrigals, Golden Age villancicos or colonial sacred repertoire. Beyond concerts, it offers educational performances for students, street processions and academic seminars, establishing itself as a reference point for early music in Spain, staged partly in palaces and buildings designed by Renaissance architect Andrés de Vandelvira.
