Festival de Piano en Saintonge

The Piano en Saintonge festival is held in Saintes, in the auditorium of the Abbaye aux Dames, a vast vaulted hall dating from the 17th century. Running since 1991, it devotes several evenings to young pianists selected by pianist Claire Désert, who leads its artistic direction following Anne Queffélec, each performing an uninterrupted recital program. The festival also partners with the Saintes municipal conservatory of music and dance, offering masterclasses open to the public.
