This festival is run by the association Cordes et Compagnies, founded in 1996 by cellist Jean-Pierre Nouhaud and double bassist Marie Nouhaud, based in Saint-Maurice-la-Souterraine since 1999. Its programme centers on chamber and baroque music for strings, including sympathetic strings, with crossovers into voice, painting or dance.
