Overview
About
Founded in 1982 by Anne Blanchard and Kader Hassissi, this festival is dedicated to baroque and romantic opera performed on period instruments. Performances take place in Beaune's heritage buildings, including the Basilique Notre-Dame and, for the opera productions, the courtyard of the Hôtel-Dieu of the Hospices. The programme, spread over several summer weekends, features works by Rameau, Handel and Monteverdi.
