Festival international de musique de Besançon Franche-Comté

Founded in 1948, this festival is devoted to symphonic and orchestral repertoire and takes place each September across several venues in Besançon, including the Ledoux theatre. It is particularly known for its International Young Conductors Competition, which launched figures such as Seiji Ozawa and draws young candidates from around the world each year.
