Founded in 1990 by Claude Samuel, Festival Présences is devoted to contemporary classical music and takes place at the Maison de la radio et de la musique in Paris, produced by Radio France. Each edition centers on a portrait of a 20th or 21st century composer, from Ligeti to Steve Reich, with a program that includes a significant share of world premieres.
