Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Since its inaugural concert in 1990, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has brought classical music to dozens of unusual venues across the region, castles, ruins, barns, islands and churches. Now one of Europe's largest classical music festivals, it runs across several seasons, from a spring edition on the island of Rügen to summer and winter programmes. It stands out for series spotlighting young talent and jazz, plus participatory formats such as guided tours and artist talks.
