About
Founded in 1992 by guitarists Jorgos Panetsos and Gerald Smrzek, Forum Gitarre Wien brings together week-long masterclasses led by international guitarists, daily concerts and an international competition with a youth section, held in Vienna. Since 2018 part of the events has taken place at the Wiener Konzerthaus, alongside the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität, the festival's longtime venue.
