About
Founded in 1996 by violinist Stig Nilsson, Hardanger Musikkfest brings together around forty concerts of chamber music and contemporary Norwegian folk music around the Hardangerfjord, in Ullensvang municipality. Hotel Ullensvang in Lofthus, overlooking the fjord and surrounding glaciers, has served as the festival's hub since its first edition.
