Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan

The Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan takes place every year on the last weekend of December at Devi Talab in Jalandhar, Punjab, on the site of Baba Harivallabh's samadhi. Founded in 1875, it is regarded as the oldest Hindustani classical music festival in the world and has been recognised as a national festival by India's Ministry of Tourism. Over three days it brings together fifteen to twenty leading and rising artists, in a venue that has hosted virtually every major name in the subcontinent's classical music tradition.
