Istanbul Music Festival

The Istanbul Music Festival, run by the İKSV foundation, takes place every June in historic venues across the city, from Topkapı Palace to former Byzantine churches. Founded in 1973 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Turkish Republic, it is the region's most established classical music event, bringing together internationally renowned orchestras and soloists. It also supports new work through commissions of contemporary compositions.
