Les Vacances de Monsieur Haydn

Les Vacances de Monsieur Haydn is an international chamber music festival held every year in La Roche-Posay, in the Vienne department, usually on the third weekend of September. Under the artistic direction of cellist Jérôme Pernoo and sponsored by conductor Marc Minkowski, it brings together young talents and established musicians around the classical and romantic repertoire, pairing a Haydn work each day with composers such as Mozart, Mendelssohn or Brahms. The atmosphere is deliberately relaxed and convivial, far from the formality of major concert halls.
