Lucerne Festival

Lucerne Festival, founded in 1938, is one of the world's leading classical music festivals. Its main summer edition takes place in Lucerne, largely at the KKL cultural and congress centre designed by Jean Nouvel, with around a hundred concerts ranging from Mozart to contemporary composers. It draws on the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, made up of soloists and section leaders from top European orchestras, alongside an academy devoted to contemporary classical music.
