About
Founded in 1967 by Claude Nobs on the shores of Lake Geneva, the festival broadened over the decades to include blues, rock, soul and pop while keeping jazz at its core. It runs for two weeks between the Casino and the Auditorium Stravinski, with free stages along the lakefront. Its audiovisual archive, built up since the first edition, is listed on UNESCO's Memory of the World register.
