Overview
About
Pori Jazz takes place every summer on Kirjurinluoto island in the coastal Finnish city of Pori, and is one of Europe's longest-running jazz festivals, held continuously since 1966. Originally built around acoustic jazz, its programming has broadened over the decades to include blues, soul, funk, hip hop, and Cuban and Brazilian music. A large share of the program is staged for free around town, giving the event a relaxed, open feel.
