Overview
About
The Moritzburg Festival takes place every summer in Moritzburg, Saxony, centered on the town's castle, with additional concerts at Dresden's Kulturpalast. Founded in 1993 by cellist Jan Vogler together with Kai Vogler and Peter Bruns, and modeled on the American Marlboro Festival, it has grown into one of the world's most respected chamber music festivals, conceived as both an artistic laboratory and a center of excellence. Under Jan Vogler's artistic direction, each edition builds around its own theme, bringing together rising young musicians and established performers.
