Osor Musical Evenings

Founded in 1976 by Croatian director Daniel Marušić, Osor Musical Evenings runs from mid-July to late August in the small historic town of Osor on the island of Cres, in the Kvarner Gulf. Devoted to classical, contemporary and early music, the festival uses the 15th-century former cathedral as its main venue, alongside the town square and the archaeological site of St Peter's church. Granted national status in 2011, it has commissioned more than three hundred works from Croatian composers across generations.
