Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh

This Indian classical music festival takes place annually in Hyderabad, notably at Chowmahalla Palace, founded in 1972 by vocalist Pandit Jasraj in memory of his father Motiram and elder brother Maniram, both musicians. The programme, mostly Hindustani but also featuring Carnatic music, brings together well known vocalists and instrumentalists over several evenings. The event retains a strong commemorative character, with a ritual performance given on the anniversary of Motiram's death.
