About
The Prague Spring International Music Festival (Pražské jaro) is one of Europe's oldest and most prestigious classical music festivals, founded in 1946. Each edition traditionally opens with Bedřich Smetana's Má vlast, performed on the anniversary of the composer's death, at the Rudolfinum and Prague's Municipal House. The festival hosts symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles from around the world and is paired with an international competition dedicated to young musicians.
