Rossini in Wildbad

Founded in 1989 by conductor Wilhelm Keitel, the festival takes place at the Königliches Kurtheater in Bad Wildbad, Baden-Württemberg, a town Rossini himself visited in 1856. It focuses on bel canto repertoire, staging lesser-known operas by Rossini and his contemporaries rather than the composer's most familiar works.
