Saptak Annual Festival of Music

Since 1980, the Saptak Annual Festival of Music has taken place every early January in Ahmedabad, on the L.D. Arts College campus opposite IIM Ahmedabad. Run by the Saptak School of Music, founded by Nandan and Manju Mehta, it brings together dozens of Hindustani and Carnatic classical musicians over thirteen days, alongside ghazal, folk music and classical dance performances. Evening concerts run late, with Sunday morning sessions added, creating a relaxed setting where emerging talents share the stage with senior masters.
