Overview
About
Mozart Week (Mozartwoche) takes place every winter in Salzburg, Austria, Mozart's birthplace, in the halls of the International Mozarteum Foundation. Established in 1956 for the bicentenary of Mozart's birth, it coincides with his birthday on January 27 and offers around a week of orchestral concerts, chamber music and recitals performed by internationally renowned artists. Devoted entirely to Mozart's work, with a different thematic focus each year, it draws music lovers and leading classical musicians from around the world.
