Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival

The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual cultural event in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, held in November when the city's cherry trees are in bloom. Spread over two to three days at the New Shillong Highland Grounds, it combines concerts, fashion shows, exhibitions and food stalls, with an international music lineup that has in past editions included Akon, Boney M and Ne-Yo. The festival's distinctiveness comes from its unusual setting, blending cherry blossoms with the cultural energy of Northeast India.
