Silence festival

The Silence festival has taken place since 2010 in the village of Kaukonen, in Finnish Lapland, on the banks of the Ounasjoki river. Each summer it brings together contemporary music, circus arts and visual installations across venues scattered among the village's wooden houses, where artists in residence create their pieces on site alongside local residents.
