Splitsko ljeto

Founded in 1954 on the initiative of composer Silvije Bombardelli and director Tomislav Tanhofer, Splitsko ljeto is Croatia's second oldest performing arts festival after Dubrovnik's. It takes place each summer at outdoor historic sites across Split, including the peristyle of Diocletian's Palace, bringing together theatre, opera, ballet and concerts.
