Swiss Chamber Music Festival

Held each September in the Bernese Oberland, across the villages of Adelboden, Frutigen and Kandersteg, this chamber music festival has run since 2011. It grew out of the Swiss Orpheus chamber music competition: the young ensembles it rewards perform here the following year, in concert venues set against the alpine scenery. The programme mixes opening and closing concerts, wildcard slots and new pieces commissioned from young Swiss composers by the top-ranked ensembles.
