Varaždin Baroque Evenings

Founded in 1971, this festival devoted to baroque and early music takes place in Varaždin, central Croatia, using the city's baroque churches and palaces as venues. Among Europe's earliest events specialised in this repertoire, each edition spotlights a partner country whose ensembles perform alongside Croatian musicians, with a scholarly conference on baroque heritage running alongside the concerts.
