Festival de Cosquín

Founded in 1961, the Festival Nacional de Folklore de Cosquín takes place every year in late January in this town in the Valle de Punilla, Córdoba province, running over nine nights in tribute to the novena of the Virgen del Rosario. It has become the reference event for Argentine folk music, having launched artists such as Mercedes Sosa and Los Chalchaleros.
