About
The Fiesta Nacional del Chamamé takes place every year in Corrientes, Argentina, centered on the Cocomarola amphitheater. It celebrates chamamé, the traditional music and dance of Argentina's littoral region, shared with Paraguay, southern Brazil and Uruguay, which UNESCO added to its Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2020. The festival brings together regional folk musicians, dancers and Mercosur delegations in a lively, community-driven atmosphere.
